What is Barder?

BARDER.art is a resource sharing platform for the art world. 

As a user, you can post excess material you want to offload or source material you need for less from the pool of available items. In doing so, users recover valuable space, end the wasteful life cycle of objects, and invest in a circular economy. 

While Barder is available to anyone, the MuseoCycle Circle consists of vetted museum and arts professionals familiar with the specific needs and nuances of material movement in the institutional world. As a member of the MuseoCycle Circle, you are able to post and view listings to either the general Barder network, or specifically for other vetted museum professionals within the Circle.

Registration

To join the MuseoCycle circle on BARDER, you must have a recognized institutional, organization, or business email address, OR you must be referred by a recognized institution, organization or business. These restrictions assure the level of security expected by any collecting institution or organization allowing access to sensitive locations or information. Membership requests are approved within 48 hours.
